Senior cinema journalist Sadashiva Shenoy of `Lankesh Patrike’, Editor of `Chittara`, director of Kannada cinema `Prarthane` author of many books, anchor of many television programs, humble and intelligent colleague lost his mother Smt Prema Shenoy today morning. She was 84.

Smt Prema Shenoy was unwell for a few days and today morning at Sidwin Hospital she did not respond to the treatment.

It was four years ago the chain snatchers made the life miserable for 80 years Prema Shenoy. She was taking an evening walk in the road where her house is situated. The force with which the chain was snatched by thieves on motorbike resulted in severe injuries. Sadashiva Shenoy took immediate care admitting his mother to Chord Road Hospital. After several days of stay Prema Shenoy was discharged.

Smt Prema Shenoy leaves behind four sons and two daughters and a few grand children. One of the sons is on the way to Bangalore from Dubai, family members and one more son from Belthangady are reaching Bangalore by 6.30 pm.

The cremation takes place today evening at Chamrajpet crematorium. May the respected mother Prema Shenoy soul rest in peace!
